Johnny Mendoza

SANTAN - Johnny Mendoza Jr., 51, died on April 8, 2018, in Casa Grande.

Mr. Mendoza was born on June 10, 1966, in Sacaton to Johnny and Rosella Mendoza. He was a devoted Arizona Cardinals fan and lived his life enjoying rodeos. He participated in horseshoe tournaments and loved spending time with his friends.

He was a loving and caring man and was always laughing and joking. He never turned anyone away who had a need for anything. He had his ups and downs but was a strong man who held his head up high and accomplished what he set out to do. He was devoted to his family and his dog, Smokey.

Survivors include his mother, Rosella Walker; his wife, Marcia; two daughters and a son, Rosalena and Chalena Mendoza of North Komelik Village and John Mendoza III of Laveen; a brother; a sister; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Debbie Allen; and a brother, Ruben Mendoza.

Funeral Mass celebrated at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 13, at St. Anne Catholic Mission in Santan, with wake to follow at the family home in Goodyear Village. Graveside service early Saturday, April 14, in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.
