Jose Alfonso Coronel

ELOY - Jose Alfonso Coronel, 82, of Eloy died Jan. 28, 2008 at RTA Hospice House.


Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel. The scripture service there will be at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Juan Carlos Aguirre officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mr. Coronel was born Aug. 26, 1925 in McNary, Texas, and was a son of Marcelino and Santos Coronel. He was a farm foreman for most of his life. He loved his family and music, especially Elvis Presley.

Survivors include his wife, Senorina; three daughters, Alice Nance of Eloy, Mary Guanajuato and Helen Cabello of Casa Grande; six sons, Jessie Martinez and Tony Coronel of Eloy, Lupe and Luis Martinez and Rick Coronel, all of Casa Grande, and Pete Coronel of Yuma; two sisters, Benita Lugio of Anthony, N.M., and Ruth Roeder of Tularosa, N.M.; four brothers, Jessie Garza of Eloy, Robert Estorga of Anthony, Tony Garza of Corona, Calif., and Lorenzo Estorga of Midland, Texas; 32 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by several sisters and brothers.
