Jose Batopis II

Jose Batopis II, 58, of Maricopa, AZ, and from the Ak-Chin Indian Community, died on January 20, 2024. He was raised in Guadalupe, AZ, on April 18, 1965, to Jose Batopis Jr, and Guadalupe Batopis. 

Jose loved spending quality time with his family, exercising and staying healthy. He enjoyed watching his favorite team the San Francisco 49ers, reading, playing with his animals, meat cutting, and cooking. Jose was a fun-loving guy to be around, he will be greatly missed by us all.  

Jose is survived by his wife; Eleanor Gonzales-Batopis; Children: James Wriston, Andres Otake, Shawnee Batopis, Jose Batopis III, Francisca Batopis, Paula Valenzuela, Michael and Victor Gonzales; Siblings: Theresa Ormsby, Hope Vallejos, Faith Batopis, six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  

Jose is preceded in death by his father, daughter; Charity Batopis, and a son, Erik Robert Gonzales. 

Service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 9:00 am.  

Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Guadalupe, 5445 San Angelo Street 

Guadalupe, AZ 85283.  

Burial to follow at Ak-Chin Cemetery
