Jose Estrada

FLORENCE — Jose R.L. Estrada, 74, a Florence native and resident, died on July 7, 2010, in Casa Grande.
Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday at Assumption Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 by the Rev. Charles Cloud. Burial will be in Florence Cemetery.
Mr. Estrada was born on Jan. 25, 1936. He served in the Air Force for eight years and was a corrections officer at Arizona State Prison for 38 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and travel. He also enjoyed going to casinos and dancing. He was devoted to his family.
Survivors include his wife, Estella; a daughter, Lydia Manzanedo of Coolidge; a son, Jose R. Estrada Jr. of Florence; a brother, Ernesto Estrada of Cottage Grove, Ore.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Barbara; a brother, Rudy Estrada; and a sister, Carmen Estrada.
