Jose "Guero" Esparza

Jose S. "Guero" Esparza, Sr., 58, entered into Eternal Life on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Guero was born on Friday, June 26, 1959 in Colotlan, Jalisco, Mexico to Concepcion and Martina Casillas Esparza.
On Friday, March 30, 1979, Jose entered into marriage with Rosa Maria Valenzuela in Florence, Arizona. He was a simple man with simple pleasures. Guero enjoyed gardening and watching his favorite baseball team, the Arizona Diamondbacks. He took pleasure in talking with his friends, and attending to his children and grandchildren. Jose was a resident of Eloy for the last 40 years and a member of the Catholic church. Guero was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed but will remain forever in our hearts.
Guero is preceded in death by his parents, Concepcion and Martina
Esparza; by his sister, Leonila Esparza; and his brother, Jose Esparza.
Guero is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rosa Maria Esparza of
Eloy, AZ; his children, Jose S. Esparza, Jr., Leonardo Esparza, Martina Esparza, Rosalie Esparza, Veroneca Esparza and Stacy Esparza all of Eloy, AZ; his siblings, Ramiro, Fidel, Rosario and Patrocinio Esparza Casillas; his 16 grandchildren; his numerous nieces and nephews; and his many friends.
The family will be gathering at the Valley Funeral Home in Eloy
for a viewing beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018. A
rosary will be recited on Friday evening at the funeral home at
7:00 p.m. with Juan Guanajuato as rosary leader. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Helen’s Catholic Church with Father Alonzo Garcia.
