Jose "Joe" Trujillo

February 13, 1946 — December 30, 2017

Jose (Joe) A.S. Trujillo passed away from battling cancer at age 71 on December 30, 2017. He was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico and lived in Utah and Arizona. Joe joined the United States Air Force in Tooele, Utah and served from 1964 to 1968. During his military time he was stationed at Davis Monthan, Tucson, Arizona and also served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. Jose was proud to be a Vietnam Veteran. He retired as an Aircraft Mechanic from Hill AFB, Utah. He joined the Air Force Reserve and traveled to various countries in Europe while in the Reserves. Joe retired from the Air Force Reserves after 20 years in Phoenix, Arizona.

Joe and his wife, Isabel, moved from Clearfield, Utah to Whetstone, Arizona in 1998. In 2015, they moved to Eloy, Arizona. Jose enjoyed any type of carpentry projects. He also enjoyed helping people in need. His sense of humor would make people smile. He enjoyed traveling, visiting family and historical sites all over western states, casinos, fishing and camping. Joe was a member of the Good Shepherd Mission and the
Divine Mercy group of Whetstone, Arizona and a member of the
St. Andrew Catholic Church in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Most recently
he was attending St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa
Grande, Arizona. Jose was also a lifetime member of the VFW
and was also an active member of the DAV.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Bernabe and Manuelita Trujillo; and his brother, Bernabe Trujillo, Jr. Joe is survived by his wife, Isabel Trujillo of Eloy, Arizona; his two daughters, Stella Garcia and her husband, Alejandro of Goshen, Indiana and Rebecca Trujillo of North Phoenix, Arizona; his three grandchildren, Sara, Sabrina and Cruz; his one great-grandson, Cristian of Goshen, Indiana; his two sisters, Henrietta Vigil and her husband, Dennis and Maria Alverez and her husband, Jessie; and his sister-in-law, Carmen Trujillo all of Tooele, Utah; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Viewing will begin at 6:00 p.m. at J. Warren Funeral Services, The Gardens Chapel, 525 N. Peart Rd., Casa Grande, Arizona on Monday, January 8, 2018. A rosary will be recited on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 9, 2018
at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa
Grande with Father Ariel officiating. A burial will be held at a later date in the National Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.
