Joey Tavares

Jose “Joey” Tavares Jr., 39, of Casa Grande died Oct. 11, 2009 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 9:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Tavares was born Oct. 27, 1969 in Casa Grande. He was a truck driver. He enjoyed spending time with his children, playing video games, fishing and camping and had a great sense of humor. His children were his pride and joy.
Survivors include his companion, Monique Quiroz; two sons, Jose Tavares III and Daniel M. Tavares of Casa Grande; two daughters, Vivian R. and Hilary L. Tavares of Casa Grande; his parents, Lucy and Jose Tavares Sr. of Casa Grande; two sisters, Sara Tavares and Selena Slaten of Casa Grande; and two stepsisters, Jeanette Soto and Cassandra Ramos.
