Jose Luis Sanchez, 90, of Casa Grande, former longtime resident of Marana, passed away July 3, 2019. Preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Emilia Sanchez, brothers Jesus, Manuel, and Alfonso Sanchez; sisters Rebeca Valenzuela, Blanca Moreno, and Graciela Varela. Survived by his beloved wife Dolores Sanchez, devoted father of Ramon L. (Sylvia) Sanchez of Arizona City, Jose J. (Ida) Sanchez of Marana, Carlos A. (Carmen) of Fruita, CO, Lourdes M. (Eduardo) Ortega of Casa Grande, Alfonso (M. Socorro) Sanchez of Litchfield Park, AZ, Maria D. (Mario) Enciso of Phoenix, Graciela A. (Manuel F.) Rodarte of Casa Grande and Francisco J. (Patricia) Sanchez of Casa Grande; dear brother of Celina Alvarez of Tucson; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Cherished grandfather of 25 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Jose Luis was deeply devoted to his Catholic faith, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Throughout his life he touched the hearts of many and will be missed by all. Jose Luis was an avid boxing and baseball fan. He also volunteered at St. Christopher’s Church in Marana, member of St. Vincent de Paul Society, Cursillista, Marana Town Hall board member, member of the Migrant Opportunity Program and PPEP (Portable, Practical, Education Program), Jose Luis was a loving wonderful caring family and community individual. He came to Arizona in 1956 to work with the Ronstadt family in Agua Linda and Picacho Peak. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a public visitation, 6 - 9 pm; Wed. July 10 at the J. Warren Cole and Maud Gardens Chapel. Mass will be held at 9am on Thursday July 11, 2019 at St Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande with Burial to follow at Mt View Cemetery.Flowers or donations to the Desert South West Alzheimer’s Association, 340 E Palm Ln #230, Phoenix, AZ 85004 in Jose Luis’s name would be appreciated.
