ELOY — Jose D. Marquez, 86, of Eloy died Oct. 8, 2009 at Mi Casa Nursing Center in Mesa.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mr. Marquez was born May 26, 1923 in Fabens, Texas. He was a farm laborer. He enjoyed watching the Arizona Diamondbacks and Dallas Cowboys and also fishing.
Survivors include a daughter, Juanita M. Pi�on of Casa Grande; five sons, Trinidad Rosales of Phoenix, Raul Marquez of Casa Grande, Jose Marquez of Fowler, Calif., Felipe and Pedro Marquez of Eloy; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita; a son, Frank Marquez; two daughters, Julie and Victoria Marquez; a grandson, Tomas Pi�on; and two great-grandchildren, Sylvia Marquez and Fabian Rosales.
