Jose Sanchez

CASA GRANDE - Jose Sanchez, 65, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 28, 2016, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with rosary recited at 6.

Mr. Sanchez was born on April 20, 1950, in El Paso, Texas, and was a son of Jesus and Matilde Sanchez. He was a decorated Army veteran of the Vietnam War, having received the Bronze Star, Air Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Service Medal with three service stars, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal as well as the Sharpshooter and Marksman badges.

He did agricultural work and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Hermina; four sons, Jose Sanchez Jr. of Sierra Vista, Santiago, Primitivo J. and Guadalupe Sanchez, all of Casa Grande; four daughters, Yolanda and Veronica Sanchez, Sofia Ramirez and Petra D. Pittman, all of Casa Grande; three brothers, Ramon Sanchez of El Centro, California, Salvador and Frank Monarez of Bakersfield, California; three sisters, Mirna and Margarita Monarez of Sacramento, California, and Dorothy Monarez of Bakersfield; 27 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rafael Sanchez, and two grandchildren, Ericca and Isidro Sanchez.
