Joseph Allen Jones

SACATON - Joseph Allen Jones, 58, of Sacaton died on April 18, 2016, at Caring House.

Mr. Jones was born on Nov. 13, 1957, in Sacaton. He was a school groundskeeper in Sacaton before retiring after 28 years. He enjoyed listening to oldies music, riding around, cooking and taking care of his garden.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta, with whom he spent 30 years; a daughter, Stephanie Rhodes of Sacaton; a sister, Jonell Jones of Sacaton; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Joseph Jones Sr.; three brothers, Carter, Edwin and Alvin Jones; and a sister, Ethylne Hista.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday at the District 3 Service Center, with rosary recited at 6. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Bapchule by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
