Joseph Arthur Gutman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, in Chandler, Arizona, at the age of 91. Born on September 5, 1933, in Sherman, Kentucky, Joseph lived a life rich with experiences that left a profound impact on all who knew him.

The son of Henry and Ruth Gutman, Joseph embraced his early years in Kentucky, where he developed a fondness for nature, especially fishing. His passion for the outdoors became a cherished pastime throughout his life, providing him joy and a sense of peace. In addition to fishing, he found small thrills in life, often delighting in the excitement of scratching lottery tickets, which brought him many moments of laughter and anticipation.

Joseph created a loving home for his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Betty Gutman, who stood by his side through myriad adventures and milestones. Together, they nurtured their family with warmth and love. Joseph leaves behind his two daughters, Delonia Beckerich and Debra Cortez, who both carry forward his legacy of kindness and resilience. His family tree has flourished under his guidance; he is also the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and cherished great-grandfather to 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Although Joseph mourned the loss of his son, Joseph Gutman Jr., and siblings Mary Sullivan and Glen Crump, his lasting memories and lessons remain indelibly etched in the hearts of his family.
