AK-CHIN - Joseph Paul Narcia, 47, died on Jan. 19, 2015, at home.
The wake will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at the Narcia home in Ak-Chin, with rosary recited at 5. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Mission. Burial will be in Ak-Chin Cemetery.
Mr. Narcia was born on Aug. 12, 1967, in Sacaton. He played on the Class C championship football team in Maricopa in 1985 and loved to watch football. He served in the Marine Corps and later was a farmworker. He was a hardworking family man who loved to eat, and he especially loved spending time with his new grandbaby.
Survivors include his wife, Julene; three daughters, Shaina Badhand, Novalene Narcia and Andrea Segundo, all of Ak-Chin; two sons, Randy Badhand of Tucson and Tobias Nez Jr. of Ak-Chin; his mother, Jenny Holsen of Maricopa; his father and stepmother, Leroy and Louella Narcia of Ak-Chin; six sisters, Rosie Narcia of Ak-Chin, Tillie Carpio of Maricopa, Martha Watson of Arizona City, Cynthia White of Stanfield, Janice Mattia of Maricopa and Joanna White of Casa Grande; two brothers, Robert and Del Ray Narcia of Ak-Chin; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Dennis Holsen.
