ELOY - Josephina "Josie" Manjarres Ysaguirre, 87, died peacefully at home early on May 1, 2017.
Mrs. Ysaguirre, a daughter of Adela Caballero and Joe Manjarres, was born and raised in Florence and was a proud longtime resident of Eloy. She retired from the Eloy Elementary School District, where she worked as a librarian, along with being a local business owner.
She was a devoted member of St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church and loved celebrating the Virgin of Guadalupe with the annual Florecita Mass for 31 years.
She is survived by her husband, Eusebio "Chevo"; her only daughter, Minerva M. Ysaguirre of Casa Grande; her younger son, Jerry M. Ysaguirre Sr. of Florence; a brother, Eddie Manjarre of Vail; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Adam Ysaguirre Sr.; a brother, Fred Manjarres; and three sisters, Olivia Manjarres, Alice Sanchez and Teresa Tarango.
