Josephine Clare Johnson

AK-CHIN - Josephine Clare Johnson, 67, died on July 6, 2018.
Ms. Johnson was born on Aug. 22, 1950, in Sacaton to Willie Antone and Madeline Narcia. She loved cooking for everyone, and her home was always open to anyone who needed a place to stay. She loved being around family, going to the casino and being outside gardening.

Survivors include three adult children, Clarence, Nathan and Lanell Enos of Ak-Chin; seven siblings, Martin, Daniel, William, Stanley and Fred Antone, Bernardine Romo and Willma Antone, all of Ak-Chin; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother and a son.

Funeral Mass celebrated at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 13, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Mission, with wake following at 8 p.m. at the family home. Burial early Saturday, July 14, in Ak-Chin Cemetery.
