CASA GRANDE - Josephine "Josie" Alcaraz, 82, of Casa Grande died on May 11, 2016, at home.
Mrs. Alcaraz was born on Feb. 13, 1934, in Firebaugh, California, and was a daughter of Petra and Ynez Verdusco. She enjoyed pets, gardening, novelas, dancing, bingo and sewing. She loved her family and was known for her strong faith.
Survivors include seven daughters, Susan Skinner, Maria Alcaraz, Veronica Mosson and Bibiana Wischhusen, all of Casa Grande, Cecilia Raymond of Globe, Martha Clanton of Dacono, Colorado, and Christina Alcaraz of Warsaw, New York; three sons, Tony and Edward Alcaraz of Globe and Manuel Alcaraz of El Paso, Texas; four sisters, Linda Soto of Tucson, Angie Bowdish of Santan, Ynez Verdusco of Mesa and Genevieve Verdusco of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two brothers, Richard Verdusco of Casa Grande and Michael Verdusco of Tucson; 30 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie; a brother, Frank Verdusco; and a great-granddaughter, Shaquila.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 by the Rev. Alan Valencia. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
