Josephine Moken

ARIZONA CITY - Josephine C. Moken, 89, of Arizona City died June 13, 2009 at Hospice Family Care.


Visitation was from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens House in Casa Grande. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church in Eloy. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum in Piscataway, N.J.

Mrs. Moken was born in Forest City, Pa., and was a daughter of Mary Novak and Ignativs Planisek. She was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking and was known as a great seamstress. She loved her family.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Savoca of Arizona City; two sons, Richard Moken of San Antonio and George Moken of Morristown, N.J.; a brother, Lewis Plaensek of Manchester, N.J.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo S.; a sister, Mary Rubberneck; and three brothers, Albert, James and Thomas Plaensek.
