J.T. Johnston

J.T. Johnston, 59, died April 16, 2008, with his wife by his side.


Mr. Johnston was born May 3, 1948 in Waltham, Mass., to John T. Johnston Sr. and Ada M. Lavoine. He was a retired industrial psychologist and an active member of the High Priest Group and Bishopric for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Casa Grande.

He graduated from Prince George (Va.) High School and joined the Army shortly thereafter. He went on to graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso, where he earned many honors.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Hallie Marie; his mother, of Troy, Ohio; a sister, Debra Johnston-Scott of Ohio; a brother, David A. Johnston of Virginia; four daughters, Candaice Allen, Bernadette Glenn, Andrea Clark and Danielle Pollett; and eight grandchildren.

The memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the LDS Kortsen Building.

The family requests that memorials be spent on donors' own families, in love and memory of the precious time they have with them on earth.
