COOLIDGE — Juan Martin "Bushy" Valencia, 38, of Mesa died on Nov. 29, 2011, in Phoenix.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel, with rosary recited at 6:30 at the family home. The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Valley Memorial Park, with Pastor Paul Davis officiating.
Mr. Valencia was born on May 30, 1973, in Florence, the oldest of 11 children. He worked in landscaping and trimmed trees in Coolidge and other areas for years. He enjoyed working and was known for being even tempered.
He cherished life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed going to concerts, especially reggae, trips to Laughlin and Las Vegas, tubing the Salt River and cooking. He was family oriented and very close to his parents and the rest of his family. He was devoted to his children and known for his words of wisdom. He was known as a leader and a good example and often would visit people who were ill.
Survivors include a daughter, Ce-erra Valencia of Phoenix; four sons, Angel Valencia of San Diego, Nicholas and Isreal Valencia of Mesa and Alex Bracamonte of Mesa; his fiancee, Carrie Cruz of Mesa; his parents, Rosario and Carol Valencia of Coolidge; five brothers, Joey, Manuel, Rosario D. and Guadalupe Valencia, all of Coolidge, and Mario Valencia of Casa Grande; five sisters, Alma Chubick, Sabrina Chavez, Sylvia Walker and Elisa Valencia, all of Coolidge, and Rosanna Valencia of Blackwater; and a grandchild.
