CASA GRANDE - Juanita Rebecca Murrietta, 75, died on Jan. 28, 2019.
Ms. Murrietta was born on March 16, 1943, to Jesus Murrietta and Anita Palma in Coolidge. Juanita enjoyed listening to chicken scratch music and Spanish music, she loved to do volunteer work, loved dancing and being around family, grandkids and great grandchildren. She also did translation in her language which is O'Odham of the Holy Bible on tape. Juanita loved going to church and sing in her language. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include a daughter, Bernadine Moran of Casa Grande; three siblings, Delphine Murrietta of Casa Grande, Clara Antone of Tucson and Frances Pablo of Pisinemo Village; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight siblings, Natalia Xavier, Robert Murrietta, Lafonsa Martinez, Suzie Lopez, Rosario Cruz, Andrew Murrietta, Fred Murrietta and Mary Valenzuela.
Visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, at Native Christian Fellowship Church in Casa Grande. Funeral Mass celebrated at 6 p.m. at the feast house in Pisinemo. Burial at sunrise on Saturday in Pisinemo Cemetery.
