Julia G. Pedroza

Julia G. Pedroza, 82, of Casa Grande died Aug. 24, 2009 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mrs. Pedroza was born Sept. 2, 1926 in Castroville, Texas, and was a daughter of Julian and Benita Garcia. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Anthony?s Guadalupanas and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, bingo, going to casinos and spending time with family and friends, especially in gatherings at her house.

Survivors include two daughters, Janie Corrie of Tucson and Mary Ortero of Riverside, Calif.; four sons, Antonio Pedroza Jr. of Tucson, Pete, Ralph and Robert Pedroza, all of Casa Grande; three sisters, Petra Sanchez of Texas, Mary Carter of Casa Grande and Mary Lou Fuentes of Chandler; a brother, Pilo Garcia of Plain View, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Sr., and two sisters.
