SACATON - June Marion Pablo, 42, died on March 11, 2014, in Chandler.

Visitation will begin at 7 a.m. Tuesday at the District 2 Event Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Mission in Sacaton Flats. Burial will be in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery.

Ms. Pablo was born on May 7, 1971, in Sacaton and graduated from Coolidge High School in 1989. She played basketball, volleyball and softball and received a scholarship to Central Arizona College. She was selected as first attendant at the Miss Gila River Pageant.

She did casino work and was a founding member of the Gila River Youth Council under the direction of present Gov. Gregory Mendoza. Someone who enjoyed travel, she went to Hawaii, South Dakota and Rocky Point, Sonora, Mexico.

Survivors include her parents, Lois A. Thomas of Sacaton Flats and Teles J. Pablo Sr. of Sacaton; two brothers, Teles J. "Jage" Pablo Jr. of Sacaton Flats and Bear Pablo of Sacaton; two sisters, Desiree J. and April K. Pablo of Sacaton; and grandmothers, Rema Thomas and Elizabeth Pablo of Sacaton Flats. She was preceded in death by a brother, Teles B. Pablo IV.
