Born in Casa Grande, AZ, the third of four children. She graduated from Santa Cruz Valley Union High School, where she was involved in several clubs, was a cheerleader and class salutarian in 1962. She graduated from the University of ARizona with a bachelor's degree in education. She later received a master's degree in that field. She fullfilled a dream of becoming a teacher and worked for all 32 years of her career as a junior high teacher in the Sunnyside School District in Tucson before retirement. She was proud of the many young lives she touched and the lifelong friendships she developed. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and arts and crafts. She also enjoyed being with family and friends, ecpecially for picnics, bowling, hiking and Friday "after-schoolers" with coworkers. Burial was held at Eloy Memorial Park.
