SACATE — Katherine Rose Perez, 41, of Sacate died on June 14, 2012, at Hospice of the Valley, Friendship Village in Tempe.
The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the District 5 Service Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Mission by the Rev. Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
Ms. Perez was born on Oct. 17, 1970, in Sacaton. She was a care giver for children. She was Catholic and led many Bible studies at churches in Mexico. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially plastic canvas and beadwork.
Survivors include her companion, Jesus E. Quevedo-Valencia of Mexico; her father, Clement Garcia of Utah; two sisters, Rose Pierce of Sacate and Carol Brown of Mexico; several nieces and nephews; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Aldina Garcia, and a brother, Christopher Garcia.
