ARIZONA CITY — Kathleen Mae Brown, 51, of Arizona City died on Jan. 21, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Arizona City Evangelical Methodist Church. The service will follow at 11, with Pastor Ernie Smith officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, Pa.
Mrs. Brown was born on April 8, 1960, in Springfield, Mo. She joined the Navy at age 18 and served in Pensacola, Fla., and in Operation Desert Storm. She was a registered nurse. She enjoyed scrapbooking and her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Kerri L. Mumme of Arizona City; her mother, Vera A. Haykel of Casa Grande; a brother, Charles D. Smith of Arkansas; three sisters, Sherry L. Wirth of Mesa, Vicky L. Shaw and Teresa D. McCullough of Arkansas; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James K.; a son, Christopher L. Brown; and her father, Charles L. Smith.
