Kathleen M. Lopez-Domingo passed on to the spirit world on February 18, 2024.
She attended Santa Rosa Boarding and Day School and Sherman Indian High School. Raised with O’odham values she was a fluent O’odham language speaker. In her life she contributed to the community as the Secretary for the Gu Achi Livestock Association for many years and numerous voluntary community acts. She made her Cursillo in the 1990s in the diocese of Tucson. Her occupations centered around office administration clerical duties. Her last job was under the Tohono O’odham Legislative Council as a ‘Transcriber’ and then a ’Committee Staffer’.
‘Kathy’ is survived by her husband of 33 years Hernando Domingo. Her sons Dale ‘Chuck’ and Kendrick Domingo and four grand children: Jude, Anthony, Daylina and Joakim.
She is preceded by her parents, DEACON Philip and Dorothy Lopez and brothers Christopher, Waylon and Luterio. Her surviving siblings are Camillus, Cynthia (Manuel), Isidro and Lucius Lopez.
One day wake and funeral service will be on Saturday, February 24 at her home in North Santa Rosa at house #24 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with burial to follow at the Santa Rosa South Cemetery. Mass will be at 1:00 PM. The Fourth day will be on February 28 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
