ARIZONA CITY - Kenneth Eugene Fouse, 72, of Arizona City died on June 3, 2016, in Show Low.
Mr. Fouse was born on June 20, 1943, in Commerce, Texas, to Earl and Frances (Redmon) Fouse. He proudly served in the military and drove big trucks while stationed in Germany. He married Patsy Ellis in 1964 and began a 52-year adventure of being a loving husband and provider and always putting his wife first.
He became a police officer, beginning a career he loved dearly. Even though he had dropped out of school at an early age to help support his family working in the cotton fields, he went back and earned a bachelor’s degree in police science. He worked alongside the FBI and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and retired from the Riverside (California) Police Department after 34 years.
A loving father, he taught his children the importance of hard work but strove to give them things he didn’t have growing up. He adored his grandchildren and spent as much time as possible with them. He loved the outdoors, boating and RVing and on vacations always stopped at fun points of interest along the way. Golf became a passion in retirement. He truly lived life to the fullest.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and a daughter, Kenneth Fouse Jr. of Aurora, Colorado, Jamie Krantzberg of Fontana, California, and Timothy Fouse of Costa Mesa, California; two brothers, Garland and Odis Fouse of Arizona City; a sister, Martha Fouse of Oklahoma; and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Wayne Fouse, Mary Sims, Pauline Peralta, Flossie Johnson, Louise Baker and Bernard Fouse.
The celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande, with his sons, Chaplain Ken Fouse Jr. and Tim Fouse, officiating. A reception will follow at Memory Garden Hall.
