Kristi Anne Martin

CASA GRANDE - Kristi Anne Martin, 30, died unexpectedly from aspirating after vomiting on Dec. 7, 2018. She had bilateral pneumonia but had active days up until the time of her death.

Ms. Martin was born on Feb. 28, 1988. She loved to tell people about her dental surgeries, ambulance rides, blood draws, shots and IV therapy and loved to show people her Band-Aids. Her life revolved around church and all her friends there. She took her check for tithes out of her purse and put it in the offering herself proudly.

She loved to attend The Opportunity Tree daily. She endeared herself to everyone she met. She could only say "Mama" but understood what people were saying. She knew 100 words in sign language and did all the rest of her communication with charades.

Survivors include her dad, Everett Martin; her mom, Jeanne Martin; her second mom, Socorro Mejia; and three sisters, Roseanna Mejia, Stephanie Davis and Amy Vestal. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Gerald and Hazel Cunningham and Floyd and Mae Martin, and a brother, Scott D. Vestal.

Visitation beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, at Church of Christ, off Racine Place and Kadota Avenue. Funeral at 10. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery.
