BAPCHULE - LaChelle C. Garcia, 24, of Bapchule died on Jan. 24, 2020, in Sacaton.
Ms. Garcia was born on Nov. 16, 1995, in Tucson. She loved spending time with her family. She was very talented both in traditional ways and personally. Drawing poetry, singing and basket dancing for a few of her talents. She loved embracing her traditional ways.
Her smile filled a room full of joy and love. Everyone enjoyed being around her, sharing a joke, giving encouraging words of advice and always reminding everyone that there was more to life and to make the best of it. Loving and caring for her family and friends was her No. 1 priority.
Survivors include two sons, Matthew Parsons and Mathias Valenzuela of Bapchule; her boyfriend, Trayvon Valenzuela of Cowlic Village, Tohono O'odham Nation; her parents, Carolyn Enos of Bapchule and Edward Garcia of South Hickiwan Village; four sisters, Delilah and DeAnna Santos, Hope and DeAngela Garcia, all of Bapchule; and two brothers, Brannon Garcia of Bapchule and Gabriel Garcia of Casa Blanca. She was preceded in death by grandparents Bernice and Emery Brown Sr. and Bernice Garcia, brother Robert Santos and Baby Valenzuela.
Wake beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3, at the Carolyn (Brown) Enos home. Graveside service early on Tuesday, Feb. 4, in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
