KOHATK VILLAGE — Lalo Miguel, 87, of Kohatk died on July 26, 2012, at Archie Hendricks Sr. Skilled Nursing Facility in Sells.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 5 p.m. today at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Mission. A wake will follow. Burial will be early Saturday in Kohatk Cemetery.
Mr. Miguel was born on Oct. 18, 1924, in Basket Burn, Ariz., and was a son of Francis and Eva Miguel. He was a farm irrigator and later worked cattle at John Wayne and Louis Johnson's Red River feedlot. He loved spending time with his family and his horses.
Survivors include a daughter, Alicia Manuel of Stanfield; a sister, Jenny Miguel of Kohatk; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie; a son, Rostie Miguel; and a daughter, Mary Lou Jackson.
