Laquisha LaShaune "Gigi" Birdine Huff was born February 25, 1973, in Casa Grande, Arizona to Earline Birdie and Milton Barnett Jr. Gigi attended elementary school in Casa Grande, Arizona and Inglewood, California. She attended Casa Grande Union High School and Central Arizona College.
At an early age she gave her life to the Lord, and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Casa Grande. She rededicated her life to the Lord joined First Shiloh Baptist Church of Casa Grande, under the leadership of Pastor Alex Day, III
She was soft spoken, humble and kind. She had a radiance about her even during her fourteen years of failing health. She was never a complainer, she would always say, "I am doing alright, I got this." Because she understood the power of prayer; even in her weakened state she pressed her way to be involved in the First Shiloh Baptist Church prayer circle.
Gigi loved to socialize, dance and spend time with her family. She loved to travel and see the world. Her enthusiasm for church, her willingness to sacrifice for her family and to do the best for the Lord became her life purpose.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Shanteesha "She-She" Sharp Martinez, grandparents Florene and Milton Barnett, Sr, Leroy Birdine, Aunts Lawanna Faye and Willie Kay Birdine, MaryAnn Jordan and an Uncle Johnny Birdine.
Gigi leaves to cherish her memory; her husband Donald Huff, two children Gregory Jr and Ashantinique Sharp. her parents Earline Birdine and Milton Barnett Jr; her grandmother Bobbie Sue Birdine Jones; three brothers Jarrel Gaines, Milton Barnett, III and Quindy Carter; one sister Chelsea Barnett all of Casa Grande, Arizona. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend services 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 29 at the J. Warren Gardens Chapel, 525 N. Peart Rd. Casa Grande.
