SACATON — Larry Douglas Milda, 70, died on June 16, 2012, at Caring House.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 3 Service Center. The funeral will be at 6 a.m. Saturday at Vah-Ki Presbyterian Church, with Alfred Reams officiating. Burial will be in Vah-Ki Cemetery.
Mr. Milda was born on Dec. 31, 1941, in Sacaton and was a son of Clamencia Ramon and Richard Milda Sr. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was a heavy-equipment operator in construction. He was a member of Vah-Ki Presbyterian Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, all sports and especially football. Arizona State and the Steelers were his favorite teams. He liked country music and dancing to traditional chicken scratch.
Survivors include his wife, Deanna A. Stops at Pretty Camps of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three sons, Leon G. Milda of Missouri, Richard D. and David G. Milda of South Dakota; two daughters, Rhonda D. and Darla B. Milda of South Dakota; three sisters, Rechanda Deeringwater of Mesa, Lucille Morago of Sacaton and Bernice Enos of Sweetwater; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
