Laura Leigh Samarripa

CASA GRANDE - Laura Leigh Samarripa, 54, of Casa Grande died on April 11, 2016, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.

Mrs. Samarripa was born on July 7, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio. She ran track and competed in gymnastics while in high school and was an exceptional swimmer. A homemaker, she was a very kind woman who knew how to put a smile on anyone’s face.

She enjoyed listening to music, was a great cook, enjoyed a good comedy and was an artist with macrame. She lived life to the fullest and projected nothing but positive energy on those she loved. She loved spending time with her family and especially her son.

Survivors include her husband, Gregorio "Greg," with whom she spent 30 years; a son, Bradley Samarripa of Casa Grande; two stepsons, Greg Samarripa Jr. of Chandler and Shane Samarripa of Phoenix; her father, James Beers of Florida; a sister, Julie Beers of Tucson; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Constance (Brown) Beers.
