SACATON - Laverta Ann Rhodes, 65, of Sacaton died on Nov. 25, 2015, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa.
Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Thursday at the District 3 Service Center, with a wake following at 6. The funeral will be at 7 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Sacaton.
Mrs. Rhodes was born on Jan. 12, 1950, in Sacaton. She was a U.S. postal clerk before retirement and a member of First Presbyterian Church and supporter of the East Dialysis Support Group.
She enjoyed travel, shopping and camping and was always wanting to explore new places, especially if a casino was near. She was known for her big heart and her not-so-cute pets. Above all she loved getting together with her family and cherished her time spent with nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Robert J.; a daughter, Lavell M. Rhodes of Stotonic; four sisters, Valerie Paul, Joella Nish and Vickie Enos, all of Sacaton, and Sylvia Enos-Martinez of Stotonic; and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas and Lucy Jackson; her mother, Fern Paul; a brother, Thomas Enos Sr.; and two sisters, Carol Antone and Adrienne Enos.
