Lee Fisher

Lee Webster Fisher was born on March 29, 1937 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was raised by his mother Flora Thomas who is from Laveen, Arizona. Lee graduated high school from Phoenix Union High and joined the United States Army. After his military service, he joined the American Legion Post 0100. He married Virginia Manuel and raised two daughters, Anita Sisk and Eileen
Fisher. Lee moved to Santa Rosa, Arizona with his family in 1970 to work on the Tohono O’odham Nation. He worked as a Physical Education teacher during the early years at Santa Rosa and Boarding School. Lee coached basketball, cross country,
baseball and football. It was a great day for all when the basketball and cross-country teams won the state championship. He was never prouder and amazed for his team. Although he loved being the coach and teaching P.E., he had another calling.
After graduating with his masters from Arizona State University with his Educational Leadership degree, he become the assistant supervisor for Santa Rosa Boarding School. Lee loved his job and would dedicate countless hours to his students,
and employees. Lee always wanted the best for his students and staff. He was kind, understanding, patient and considerate of others. He was also a great family man who would do anything for his daughters and wife. He set a good example with
his daughters and encouraged both to continue their education. Lee was dedicated to his job and worked 30 years before retiring from his job that he loved. He spent his retirement with his wife, daughters and grandchildren. Lee loved his grandchildren dearly and was proud of their accomplishments.

He is survived by his daughters, Anita Sisk, Eileen Fisher; grandchildren Mason Chacon, Adrienna Chacon, Jeffrey Sisk, Peter Chacon, Martin Chacon, and Jamie Montoya. He will be buried by his beloved wife in San Pedro, Arizona.
