Lee William Ochsner, 64, of Buckeye died Sept. 20, 2009 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center. The memorial service was at 2 p.m. Saturday at Arizona City Evangelical Methodist Church, with the Rev. James Mumme officiating.
Mr. Ochsner was born Feb. 17, 1945 in Huron, S.D., and was a son of William and Tillie Ochsner. He graduated from Huron College. He was a teacher, coach, athletic director and principal in various South Dakota, New Mexico and Arizona schools before retirement. He was principal of Santa Cruz Valley Union High School in Eloy from 2001 to 2005.
Survivors include his wife, Laura M. of Gila Bend; six sons, Dan Ochsner of Huron, Scott Ochsner of Tea, S.D., Chad Ochsner of Britton, S.D., Greg and Clay Ochsner of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Lee Ochsner Jr. of Buckeye; five daughters, Michelle Brandenburg of Alpena, S.D., Diamond Ochsner of Coolidge, Zenus M. Ochsner, Maria P. and Laura M., all of Gila Bend; a sister, Darlene Cameron of Huron; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nichole.
