Lela Jose

NORTH KOMELIK VILLAGE - Lela Agatha Jose, 38, of Phoenix died on May 28, 2018, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center.

Ms. Jose was born on Oct. 28, 1979, to Leo and Carmen (Pablo) Jose. She attended Santa Rosa Boarding School until the sixth grade, then went to Stanfield Elementary School for two years. She wrote poems and enjoyed drawing and doodling.

She like to go dancing and listen to music and played the clarinet. She enjoyed being with her family and friends.

Survivors include three children, Ellayna C. Polingyowma of Sacaton, Dayton Thomas of Glendale and Shyla Harvey of North Komelik; her parents, of North Komelik; and five siblings, Patricia Jose of North Komelik, Lucius and Noel Jose of Tucson, Arceola and Eliseo Jose of North Komelik. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Silverino and Patricia Jose.

Funeral Mass celebrated at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 8, at St. Ignatius Catholic Mission, with wake following. Burial on Saturday, June 9, in Sacate Cemetery near Casa Blanca.
