Leland Evans

BLACKWATER - Leland Evans, 67, of Blackwater died on Nov. 25, 2015, at Oasis Pavilion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Casa Grande.
The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the District 1 Service Center. The graveside service will be at 8 a.m. Saturday in North Blackwater Cemetery, with the Rev. Irving Terry officiating.
Mr. Evans was born on Aug. 24, 1948, and was a son of Wilford Parsons and Rachel Pancock. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, served in the 62nd Artillery and received the Purple Heart Medal along with six others. He was a very helpful and caring person and enjoyed all of his grandchildren, taking drives and telling stories. He had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Terry and Flora Evans; three brothers, Rudy and Arthur Valenzuela and Gerald Parsons; two sisters, Gerry and Sylvia Parsons; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Junior and Donald Pancock Sr. and Magdaleno Valenzuela, and two sisters, Rebecca Jackson and Glenda Molina.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
