SACATON - Lemuel Thompson, 53, of Sacaton died May 27, 2008 at Hospice of Arizona.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 4 Service Center. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery in Upper Santan.
Mr. Thompson was born March 14, 1955 in Sacaton. He served in the Army's 182nd Airborne Division. He worked as a carpenter. He was Presbyterian and was strong in his faith. He was a Native American traditionalist and enjoyed crafts such as beading.
Survivors include seven siblings, Evelyn Gopher of Stotonic, Doreen Allen of Hashen Kehk, Alvin F. Cooper of Santan, Aileen Vavages of Bapchule, Michelle Osife of Goodyear, Derwin Cooper of Santan and Micheala A. Cooper of Sacaton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence E. Thompson and Leona E. Eldridge.
