ELOY - Lena Mae Chambers, 92, of Eloy died on March 23, 2016, at home.
Ms. Chambers was born on March 9, 1924, in Everton, Arkansas. She worked as a retail cashier and enjoyed cooking for her family. She loved spending every moment around family and friends, laughing and chatting.
She loved travel and enjoyed working. She spent her life making sure her whole family was taken care of and loved spending time with her grandchildren and pets. Her zest for life was surpassed only by her love for her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Cannon of Arizona City, Loretta Hadlock of Sparks, Nevada, and Carla Acker of Smethport, Pennsylvania; her companion of 40 years, Douglas Kunselman; a sister, Myrtle Chambers of Tucson; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolphus Chambers; a daughter, Cynthia Blakeman; a sister, Mamie Helling; and four brothers, James, Earl, Carl and Lee Williams.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande. The funeral there will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with Christopher Ramirez officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
