Leo Alphonso Jose

AK-CHIN - Leo Alphonso Jose, 58, died Nov. 24, 2008.


Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Gloria White home in Ak-Chin and will continue at 7 p.m. at the District 6 Learning Center in Komatke. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Catherine Catholic Mission in Santa Cruz Village, Gila River Indian Community. Burial will be in Santa Cruz Cemetery.

Mr. Jose was born Feb. 22, 1950 in Santa Cruz Village. He was a landscaper. He was known for his sense of humor and made people laugh. He enjoyed oldies music and visiting with friends and relatives.

Survivors include two daughters, Candida Jose of Santa Cruz and Cheryl Manuel of Sacaton; a son, Titus Jose of Santa Cruz; three sisters, Felicia Bread of Laveen, Shirley Hughes and Charlene Jose of Santa Cruz; and four grandchildren.
