Leo Henry Smith, 89, of Casa Grande died on July 24, 2011, at Oasis Pavilion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
A private service was planned.
Mr. Smith was born on May 2, 1922, in Hammond, Ind., and was a son of Henry J. and Lillian Smith. He served in the Army during World War II and was a staff sergeant. He was a journeyman pipefitter and worked for Pullman-Standard Car Manufacturing Company on railcars from 1955 to 1981, when he moved to Casa Grande. He enjoyed golf, hanging out at the pool and a good party.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Mary Ann) Smith of Casa Grande and Glen (Terry) Smith of Estes Park, Colo.; a daughter, Dara (Dave) Barth of Payson; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; a brother, Raymond Smith; and a grandson, David Dalton.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
