Our dear dad and grandpa, Les Tregaskes, passed away peacefully March 2, 2012. His positive spirit, mental sharpness, and humor were present until the end. Born August 15, 1915 in Mesa, AZ, he spent his youth in England and British Columbia. He returned to Arizona at age 18 and eventually began a 37 year career with Mountain Bell in Pinal County. He started as a lineman, was promoted to district manager and finished his career on the executive staff in Tucson. Les was a longtime member of the Rotary serving the Coolidge and Casa Grande communities. He is survived by four children from his marriage to Adeline: Lee (Patty) Tregaskes, Fred (Nancy) Tregaskes, Mark (Lynette) Tregaskes and Lynn (Mark) Bagnall; nine grandchildren,17 great-grandchildren, two step-children Rich McQuillen and Sue Scott, and companion Bettie Hicks. He was preceded in death by his first wife Adeline, infant son John, granddaughter Lauri (Rob) Deshler, second wife Betty, parents Fred Tregaskes and Ruby Pochin, and stepsister Helen. Extended family and close friends live in Canada, England and Australia. Les enjoyed music, anything to do with cars, the ocean and the desert, history, current events, and spending time with family. We want to extend a special thank you to Rosie and JoJo for their friendship and care of our dad the past six months. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
