AK-CHIN VILLAGE - Leticia L. "Tisha" Lopez, 59, of Ak-Chin, Tohono O'odham Nation, died on Jan. 3, 2020, at Banner-University Medical Center Tucson.
Ms. Lopez was born on Nov. 10, 1960, in Sacaton. Very outgoing, she enjoyed the company of friends and family and loved attending sporting events. Her favorites were the Sun Devils. She also loved music and movies and was known for her smile and laughter.
She was Catholic and lived in Phoenix for 36 years. She completed courses at Gateway and Phoenix colleges and was a health unit coordinator.
Survivors include her partner of 25 years, Fernando Vasquez Jr.; four sons, Jacob F. and Zachary J. Vasquez of Laveen, Julian S. and Mario S. Lopez of Phoenix; two daughters, Melissa A. Lopez of Ak-Chin and Melissa R. Vasquez of Laveen; a brother, Ervin Lopez of Comobabi Village; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Sue Lopez
Visitation from 6 to 7 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel. Funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Serafina Catholic Mission in Ak-Chin, with services continuing until burial at 3 p.m. in San Luis Cemetery.
