Lila B. Stone

SWEETWATER - Lila B. Stone, 45, of Sweetwater died on May 26, 2016, at Caring House in Sacaton.

Ms. Stone was born on Nov. 8, 1970, in Sacaton to Leonard and Thamer Patricia Stone. She liked listening to country music and doing sudoku puzzles. She also loved family gatherings and playing pool and was very fond of "Snoopy" figures. Her greatest love was her family and friends.

She graduated in 1990 from Casa Grande Union High School, where she played basketball, softball and volleyball. She also played on teams within the Gila River Indian Community. She enjoyed her cat, Autumn.

Survivors include seven sisters, Colleen Stone, Phyllis Yesk, Carol James, Rebecca and Louise Stone, Leah Jackson and Leonora Stone; five brothers, William, Robert, Roger, Edward and Donald Stone; and her partner, Regina Kolb. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gregory Stone.

Visitation will be at the Stone home from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday. The traditional service there will be at 6 a.m. Saturday, with Robert Stone officiating. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery.
