Linda Tafoya

SACATON - Linda Tafoya, 68, died on May 13, 2018, in Sacaton.

Ms. Tafoya was born on Jan. 23, 1950, to Arthur and Josephine Lamore in Los Angeles. She lived in Sacaton for 20 years after moving from Colorado. After 22 years together, she married Walter Chico on March 11, 2016, in Las Vegas.

She enjoyed learning about her Native American culture and traditional dance and also enjoyed browsing thrift stores to get a bargain.

Survivors include her husband; four adult children, Diane Keeny of Fresno, California, Kenneth J. and Michael Tafoya of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Augustine J. Chico of Sacaton; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Rosary recited at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 18, at the District 3 Service Center. Funeral Mass celebrated at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, at St. Anthony Catholic Mission in Sacaton.
