BLACKWATER - Liza Laura Jones, 89, died on May 28, 2020, in Blackwater.
Mrs. Jones was born on April 1, 1931, to Willie and Roseclem Jackson in Camp Verde. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching soap operas.
She was a loving, kind, quiet person and had a pretty smile. She loved family gatherings and was known for making delicious tortillas. She was always donating to different foundations. She loved spending time with her husband, and they were always together.
Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Wesley; seven sons and daughters, Steven Voltares Jr., Terry, Gloria and Arthur Voltares, Tina Voltares Morris, Jolene and Llewellyn Antone; a sister, Vivian Burdette; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three children, Sharon Antone, Angela and Petra Voltares, and six siblings, Virgil and Melvin Jackson, Flora Gilson, Rose and Howard Burdette and Everette Gilson.
Visitation beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, at the family home in Blackwater. Funeral there at 7 a.m. on Friday, June 5. Burial in Blackwater North Cemetery.
