ARIZONA CITY — Lloyd W. Lawson, 98, of Arizona City died on Nov. 26, 2012, at Family Tree Assisted Living in Casa Grande.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Arizona City. The funeral will follow at 10, with Pastor Jack Grover officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mr. Lawson was born on Sept. 5, 1914, in Rubottom, Okla., and was a son of Jody Lawson and Flora Hogue. He was a farmer. He loved being with his family, teasing all his grandchildren, playing baseball when he was younger, fishing and watching all sports. He was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school.
Survivors include three daughters, Anita McEachern of Arizona City, Celissa Smith of Casa Grande and Judy Hill of Phoenix; three sons, Dwayne Lawson of Casa Grande, Jack Lawson of Arizona City and Gerry Lawson of Phoenix; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Burnitta Mae; two brothers, Roy and Orby Lawson; and two sisters, Flossie Harris and Thelma Pierce.
