ELOY — Loida Pena Ibarra, 82, of Eloy died on Dec. 10, 2011, at home.
The celebration of life will begin at 6 p.m. today at Glad Tidings Church in Casa Grande. Inurnment will be later in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ibarra was born on Jan. 28, 1929, in Whitsett, Texas, and was a daughter of Teofilo Reyna Pena and Maria U. Vasquez. She was a homemaker and was known for her library of home remedies. Children were her life. She was a member of Desert Carmel Faith Bible Church.
Survivors include seven sons, Felipe, Fernando and Benjamin Ibarra, all of Eloy, David Ibarra of Phoenix, Teofilo and Josue Ibarra II of Arizona City and Eliu P. Ibarra Jr. of Eloy; two daughters, Irma Villarreal of Coolidge and Esther Ibarra of Eloy; four brothers, Guadalupe Salinas of Texas, Porfirio Salinas of California, Eduvijes Salinas of Texas and Samuel Pena of Texas; three sisters, Maria Cavazos, Santos Arevalo and Bernarda Uribe, all of Texas; 35 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eliu Ibarra Sr., and two sons, Ruben Ibarra and Josue Ibarra I.
