Lola Elizabeth Lopez, 80, of Casa Grande died on Dec. 13, 2013, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 11:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Ms. Lopez was born on April 7, 1933, in Ajo and was a daughter of Francisco Hernandez and Ramona Velasco. She was a hardworking woman who washed dishes for 20 years at the Chatterbox restaurant and did the same at Kmart before being promoted. She finished her 20 years there as a customer service representative. She was a foster parent for many years and helped anyone who needed help. She enjoyed being with her family, dancing, listening to music and going to casinos.
Survivors include four daughters, Esther M. Torres of Maricopa, Theresa Lopez-Real of Casa Grande, Melissa R. Lopez of Casa Grande and Shirley Ann Brent of Indiana; two sons, Arthur Lopez Sr. of Tucson and Theodore Lopez of Casa Grande; her companion, Hector Villarreal; two brothers, Charlie Hernandez of Santan and Tony Hernandez of Sells; 29 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Lopez; a daughter, Monica Armstrong; a brother, Juan Hernandez; and a sister, Angie Macias.
